Caktuz made his mark as a performance artist with his ‘art band’ DRX, started as a closing act for Melvin Peebles‘ award winning broadway play; Ain’t Supposed To Die A Natural Death. The group comprised of Caktuz (MC/Art Director), Fuse Green (DJ/Art Director), & Hasan Insane (Producer). 

Before long the group became a featured act in the competitive New York city underground. From smoke filled Brooklyn nightclubs to encore’s on european tours, DRX would go on to wow audiences with their merger of hip hop and art.
